Overview
RTP Mundo is RTP’s international channel, created to bring Portugal closer to Portuguese people and Portuguese speakers around the world and to everyone who maintains ties with the country, its language and its culture. With entertainment, news and sport, it follows developments in Portugal and delivers them to the communities wherever they are. Engagement with these communities is an important part of the channel’s identity. RTP Mundo highlights their stories, initiatives and diverse experiences, helping preserve their ties to their roots and to the wider Portuguese diaspora. As part of its Public Service mission, it also provides a window onto Portugal, allowing those living abroad to stay informed about the country, wherever they may be.
